Required Hardware

To use this license effectively, the following hardware is required:

• GProg Pro Programmer
• USB protection key (dongle)
• External Board Adapter – required to interface with secured microcontrollers

⚠️ Note: This license will not function correctly without the external board adapter.

Activation Instructions

A018 Renesas RH850 SEC (0x3F) series License For GProg Pro

To activate the A018 license on your GProg Pro dongle, please follow these steps:

1. Purchase the USB hardware dongle (if you don’t already have one).
2. Provide your dongle’s serial number when ordering or activating the license.
3. You may activate multiple licenses on the same dongle—no need to purchase another one for future upgrades.

Important: If you are using the GProg SE version, you only need to provide your DEV ID instead of the dongle serial number.

Technical Notes

This license specifically targets processors with security lockbyte set to 0x3F. It enables read access even when traditional operations are blocked due to the processor’s security configuration.
