Features
- Reprogramming ECU/TCU: PCMflash is designed for reprogramming ECUs (Engine Control Units) and TCUs (Transmission Control Units) of various vehicles, including Volkswagen, Skoda, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan/Infiniti, Subaru, Honda/Acura, Hyundai/Kia, Renault, Toyota/Lexus, and more.
- Universal Modules: Includes Denso SH705x Bootloader and BSL TriCore universal modules for compatibility with many vehicles.
- Adapter Support: Works via ADS adapter (version 1) for some ECUs and any J2534-compatible adapter, such as OpenPort 2.0, Mongoose JLR, MongoosePro JLR, and Teradyne GNA600 (VCM 1), Mazda VCM 2.
- Simple Interface: The software is marketed on a module basis and features a user-friendly interface for ease of use.
Dongle and Module Information
- Dongle Requirement: Both the dongle (basic equipment) and at least one module are required for initial purchase. The modules will not work without the dongle.
- Types of Dongles: Please specify the type of dongle (small or large) in the order comments. We will send the available stock by default.
- Dongle Function: The dongle serves as protection from unauthorized access and is linked to a PC for authorization. It also allows the software to be used on multiple computers.
Software Features
- File Support: PCMflash supports flashing both backup (vbf) and binary (bin) files. During flashing of binary files, checksum verification and correction are available for most modules.
- Conversion Support: Conversion from VBF/GDS to BIN is supported if the ECU does not support reading.
- VID Transfer: Most modules support checksum verification, correction, and VID transfer when flashing binary files.
- Note: The USB dongle requires an Internet connection for the initial authorization when working with an ECU. Once authorized, the dongle can be used on several computers. Please ensure you have the necessary drivers and libraries for the J2534-compatible adapter.
